Two pieces. High quality suitcase with wheels and matching hard-shell back pack. Hard shell protection but extremely light weight. The part that touches the back is softer material. Wheelie luggage offers a duel height retractable handle that can be adjusted to an adult height and child height for convenience. Also offers hand carry handle. Back pack offers hand carry handle and child back straps. When storing, the backpack fits perfectly into the suitcase. Excellent quality Green color Alien/Monster like Theme Carry On sizes. Excellent condition and very roomy. My youngest son used this set on a trip and it was great. Everything including his clothes fit in the rolling luggage which fit in the overhead compartment and the backpack was great for his books, electronics and much much more!
