Description

Hand-colored aquatint etching print titled The View of Her Majesty's Steam Frigate Cyclops. It was engraved by Henry Papprill, after a painting by William Adolphus Knell, and published by Ackermann & Co. in 1857. The image depicts the naval paddle steamer, Cyclops, in choppy seas off Spithead, England. A smaller boat in the foreground appears to be transporting passengers to or from the frigate. From the United Kingdom, it is framed and beautifully matted behind glass. It measures 38" wide by 30 1/4" framed. Cash preferred.
