Description
First year production Nightster in the handsome silver and black two-tone denim finish. Original owner, bought new in April 07 from Eastside H-D in Bellevue. I really do not want to sell this, but I am planning a cross-country move and I can’t justify taking it with me. Very close to original condition. Top end rebuild with Cometic gaskets and seals from the base all the way up to the rocker boxes, this bike might never leak a single drop of oil! Brand new LiFePo4 lithium-ion battery and I will include a lithium compatible 5-amp charger. Power Commander PC3-USB tuning module with a professionally tuned map by CyclPath Vance and Hines short shots ceramic true dual exhaust with quiet baffles K&N high flow lifetime air cleaner Metzeler 880 tires front and rear still have some good tread life Lick’s Cycle leather solo bag so you have somewhere to keep your chap-stick Gloss black solo fender rack H-D forward controls, a necessity for a sportster if you’re 5’9” or taller I have a quick detachable H-D sport windscreen for it if you want it This bike is an excellent runner. It’s not for a novice rider or the faint of heart. It is 18 years old so it is not cosmetically perfect. There is a little bit of touch-up paint here and there, and a scuff or a ding here and there, but I think it shows very well. It has been well maintained and never abused since it was new. I’ve never had the luxury of a garage so it has lived through 17 Seattle winters, under a carport and a cover. It has the stock laced spoke wheels which Harley makes out of cadmium so the spokes are prone to surface rust when they get wet if you don’t wash and wax them religiously. I have recently spent a lot of time with rotary buffers and various polishes and cleaned them up very well, but they will never be perfect. The only mechanical imperfection right now is that the neutral indicator in the gauge cluster no longer illuminates. It’s either the sensor switch which is simple to replace and cheap, or the LED cluster in the gauge which is simple to replace and maybe $200-300 for the part. It still shifts in to neutral fine and makes a very positive feeling when it goes in to N so I’ve just not bothered to fix this because I can always tell when it’s in gear. Let me know if you have any questions, I hope somebody out there can enjoy this machine for its next 18 years!
