1940’s Secretary Drop Front Desk 3 Drawers

She was a young wife of 18 years old when she wanted to give her husband a gift. This 1940’s Secretary Desk was the perfect gift to enhance their need for furniture in the new Baton Rouge, LA home. Three drawers and five storage sections was all he needed to do his accounting and scheduling for the weddings and studio photography sessions of his photography business. Later my Dad said he would use the desk in his home since his father was downsizing his household. I grew up with this piece of furniture being in the living of our New Orleans home. We kept photos and important moments in it along with my old report cards and even moved it to Mandeville, LA with them. . Lots of history here. Needs a little work. But it’s a great project.
