1962 Fender Precision Bass with Rosewood Fretboard Sunburst Refin

Very good condition 1962 Fender Precision Bass in a very nice Sunburst refinish. All original outside of the tone and volume knobs. This example has a very pleasing woody and deep low end growl that records wonderfully. Very present in a mix while taking pedals and distortion well. Original pickups sound fantastic, easily some of the best I’ve heard in an early 60’s precision bass. Missing the original thumb rest, but this can be easily applied. There is some very nice checking happening throughout the entire body, as this is an older refinish for sure. Original pickguard has a bit of lifting happening, but this is quite common on these older Fender examples. The neck on this example is also played in very nicely and feels very smooth in the hand. This example has recently had a set up, so the action is nice and low and the tuners have been oiled to turn nicely. A few of the tuners have a small point where they don’t grab, but spin nicely regardless and hold tune very well. These early pre-CBS precision basses have so much character, and this is a great opportunity to snag an example that has so many years left in the studio or for live use.
