Atlas Furniture 1930s mahogany dresser

1930s Mahogany Atlas Furniture (1871-1941) dresser with “artsy pink” sides/details, cream drawer sides, crystal knobs, and white drawer liners. This special dresser has been stripped down and re-coated with a light gloss to showcase its original beauty and grain. Mahogany wood is/was imported from Central America (where it is usually illegally harvested). The United States imports 90% of mahogany from Peru, Dominican Republic, and other central americas. As of 2000 Brazil no longer participates in the mahogany trade as it is completely illegal there now. It’s a beautiful wood and a bit tricky to work with. Their furniture is made entirely by hand.
