Enoch Wedgwood 1970s Set of 2 Liberty Blue Independence Hall Plates, 10” Classic blue-and-white Staffordshire ironstone plates featuring Independence Hall from the Liberty Blue series. Great vintage condition consistent with age, with very light utensil marks and surface wear visible only under bright light & magnification. Fascinating Fun Facts: • Made in Staffordshire, England by Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) Ltd. for the 1976 U.S. Bicentennial. • Distributed through Benjamin Franklin Federal Savings & Loan as a promotional giveaway. • Independence Hall in Philadelphia is where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were signed. • Ironstone is a durable English pottery first developed in the 1800s — heavy, practical, and chip-resistant. • The decoration is transferware, applied using copper-engraved designs.
