Either Amp can run them as a pair however I think the rockford fosgate r500x1d is the better choice because you get 500watts at 2ohm, I am incorporating the second amp which a Coustic 401d so that you can actually use one speaker in two cars if you want. One of these is MOOOORE than enough. So there you go. The box is a little worn cosmetically but is super stable and does the real duty it is designed to do perfectly.
