Description

Amazing etching, detail, maple Burl frame, mated with the gold stripe. Ive purchased it in Paris from the going out of business Framing Shop. The story of the depicted scene is also fascinating, since it was the longest ever siege of any place in history: 21 years from 1(contact info removed). Candie, today's Heraklion, Crete the Venetian ruled city of the Kingdom of Candia was under the siege of Ottoman Empire army. Condition is Excellent except few tiny chips on the edges of frame.
