Description

This is a magnificent antique table / desk lamp with a chunk glass mosaic leaded globe. Heavy bronze base in the form of a neo-classical woman with arm raises to support the round shade. The side of the base is clearly marked Germany. On the upper section of the base is a maker’s mark which I cannot identify. The lamp measures 18 1/2” tall with a base diameter of 5 1/2”. The diameter of the globe is approximately 7”. There is a switch on the side of the base that turns the light on and off. When illuminated, the polychrome glass globe is exquisite. Although it lights up immediately, the electric cord is severely frayed in many places and needs to be replaced or reinforced. There are a couple of glass pieces that appear to be somewhat pushed inwards. I do not believe this would be a difficult task to correct. There is some surface wear to the base due to age and use, but nothing significant. This would be a wonderful addition to any antique collection. Perfect for use or display. Cash only.
