Homemade fire starters consisting of sawdust and/or wood shavings mixed with candle wax in cardboard egg carton pockets. Eliminates the need to search for tinder (e.g., paper strips, wood shavings, tiny bits of wood) and burns fast and hot. When positioned and lit under a loose framework of small dry kindling, a single "pocket" will create the basis for a great fire (assuming a supply of dry larger kindling and logs). Egg carton cardboard is pre-scored to allow for quickly tearing off one pocket at a time.
