This is a heavy duty exercise bicycle from schwinn. It doesn’t need to be plugged in, rather your own pedaling acts as a generator. There are no issues with the display console. It works flawlessly, but the memory function won’t work without batteries (which I haven’t installed). The display works without batteries, but will disappear once you stop pedaling. To have the display remain on, you just need 3 or 4 AA batteries easy installed on the rear of the console. This commercial-grade Stationary Bike With Over 100 Workout Options has a Self generating Computer that provides feedback on speed, distance, calories, rpms, and watts. It has a Manual mode plus 6 programs and 16 levels of intensity. Constant power mode allows you to work at a set level of intensity If you pedal faster or slower.
