Parts upgraded: -WTB STI 30 Rear wheel (Tubeless compatible) -Upgraded Formula 141 Boost Cassette Hub with Sealed bearings -Upgraded Sunrace 11-40 tooth Cassette -Upgraded T8S Deraileur & shifter with chain stabilizer clutch (bike originally came with a poorly shifting ProRush derailleur) Upgrade Cost including is labor is $200+ -Medium/Large Frame Size Planned on using this as a project bike to upgrade as my skills progressed. Bike Features: The Taff introduces you to a variety of expert-level features, such as a lightweight aluminum frame, tapered head tube, clutch derailleur, 1x8 drivetrain, trigger shifters, and disc brakes front and rear. **Dropper SeatPost Capable** A Dropper Seat Post can easily be added since the frame incudes internal dropper post cable routing. The Schwinn Taff has a lightweight hydro-formed aluminum frame with a tapered head-tube and a suspension fork for a smooth ride over rough terrain. The Tapered head tube provides future support for upgraded tapered suspension forks. It features modern mountain bike frame geometry with a 68 degree head-tube angle. The Taff has a modern 1X8 drivetrain which means it has 1 gear in the front and 8 in the rear, making shifting much simpler compared to older 3x7 gear sets. It comes with an 8 speed rear clutch derailleur, which reduces chain slap when going over rough terrain. The bike is equipped to climb steep trails with a 30 tooth chainring in the front and a 11-40 tooth 8 speed Cassette in the rear. The Taff sports powerful Disc Brakes Front and Rear with 29in aluminum double-wall rims for strength and stability. The wheels are wrapped in large 29-inch Tires.
