Hand-woven fine 3 ply cashmere yarn. Very soft to the touch. The Russian text "mink down yarn long pile” indicates this is 95% mink down, known for its luxurious feel, and long fluffy pile. The label lists 5% anti pilling fiber which would be either polyamide or long plush, to enhance durability, elasticity, and to create the anti-pilling texture. Weight: DK, medium-light (the 3-ply yarn alone is fingering weight, but using the companion yarn makes it 4-ply, and more secure.) Suggested Knitting Needles: 2-6mm Care: To prevent shrinking: Submerge in cool water with a gentle detergent or baby shampoo, & rinse thoroughly. Gently squeeze out excess water without wringing, lay the garment flat on a towel; roll it up to absorb more moisture, then reshape and let it air dry on a flat surface away from direct heat or sunlight. No bleach Weave the companion yarn together with the larger to strengthen the project & help it maintain its shape. Ideal projects are small, delicate items.
