When it comes to smart trainers, the Wahoo Kickr is the gold standard. This is way better than the core version as it can handle more watts, more incline, has folding legs and an easy to carry handle. Smart trainers let you ride your bike indoors (perfect for when the weather is not good such as now with the cold and rainy weather lately), and are smart because they can control resistance and connect to apps like Zwift, My Whoosh, etc so you can ride in virtual reality and do structured workouts. They increase resistance relative to the amount of incline. For example a slight incline will have a little bit more resistance and a steep incline will have your legs crying for mercy. These smart trainers also track your speed, cadence, and even power! Yes, this unit has a built in power meter so you can train with power, Yeah Buddy!! Works great and in good condition overall.
