(The only differences are that the Executive is battery-operated, has a digital display, and covers 1 acre instead of a half-acre.) The concept behind all Mosquito Magnet models is the same: to emit carbon dioxide created by a propane tank, coupled with an attractant from a pod infused into the carbon dioxide. The mosquitoes fly toward the carbon dioxide and are sucked into the trap via a small vacuum and die within 24 hours from dehydration. Each Defender protects one-half acre from mosquitoes. Made in USA. Buy one or both; priced separately. Comes with 50-foot power cord to power one unit. You will need an additional power cord for the other Defender unit which sells new, i.e., on eBay for $44.00. You will need two propane tanks as well that are not included. Both are very clean. You get two for less than the cost of one! One is missing a clear plastic trap cover; I used clear packing tape as a workaround which works fine.
