A person or group in Portland is offering AirPod Pros for sale as new in the wrapper. I bought a pair last Saturday for a Mother’s Day gift. They were poor quality so I took them to Apple on Monday and was told they were counterfeit. (See last picture. When trying to pull ear tip off to change sizes, the ear piece fell apart.) TIP: writing on the inside lid and on the earpieces will be straight on real Apple AirPods. The writing on mine had a slight wave in it. The printing is also darker on the counterfeit stuff. The seller marked these as sold on Monday morning, to somebody else, so I was unable to leave a review. I also can’t report him to OfferUp because I am not identified as the purchaser. The seller posts with first name only, and no picture avatar. I notice multiple offers for this product from different “people,” but the images are always on the same background, selling for around $150, with the option to ship for $3.49. I contacted the seller, who said these were a gift and said he would meet to return my money. Of course, that was a lie too. Please beware. Don’t throw away $155 like I did, plus time and gas.
