I read the bad reviews, but I still wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, Chris the salesman that helped us was more concerned about talking about himself than trying on giving us a good deal. Please stay away from this dealership and save your valuable time. Please inform yourself do some research on how dealerships work before stepping into a dealership. Dealerships are only looking for clients that don't do any kind of research so they can take advantage of them. Just be aware, and trust your instinct just like we did, We walked way.

My final offer was $14,500 not $13,000 like you mention on your post. I told Chris that I could leave my phone number just in case you guys changed your mind, his response was NO it's ok the car will sell, so we left. I really wanted to do business with you guys so I called back on Monday and Junior answered the phone I specify that I would like to speak to the sales manager and he transferred me to Chris, why Chris?? I have nothing against Chris but if I specify I would like to speak to the sales manager is because I would like to speak to the sales manager. So Chris told me the sales manager was busy and he will give a call back when he had a chance, I'm still waiting for his call. I knew he was not going to call me because no one asked for my phone number. At the moment I moved on I bought my car at a dealership closer to home for a really good deal. They were willing to negotiate with us and gave us a $4,000 discount not just $300 like the discount you guys offered us, but thanks for your time.

My wife and I drove an hour and a half to come see a used Chevy Suburban and got there close to closing on Sunday. We were helped out by Chris who was very friendly and within a few minutes took us to see the car. We'd been looking for a Suburban for a few months and this was the cleanest car we'd seen yet at a competitive price. We traded in our used Civic at a great deal which really helped make things much easier on our end. Chris answered all of our questions about the vehicle and drew up paperwork very quickly and we were out of there in the fasted car buying experience I've ever had. I had the car looked at by a 3rd party afterwards and everything checks out! Very happy with our purchase and our experience with Chris. Thank you!

One Star – Dishonest and Rude

I found a car listed for $12,000 on Carfax and CarGurus, but when I went to the dealership, they tried to add a $3,000 dealership fee on top of tax and license. This is for a used car — completely unacceptable.

The staff was extremely rude, and I had to wait over two hours with only one or two employees running the entire place. They advertised the car as having no damage and a clean title, but in person it was scratched, dented, and had serious damage underneath. Photos online were totally misleading.

Don’t trust the listings — this place is shady. I do not recommend buying from here They’re robbing people

Auto Republic of Fullerton is a terrible company. I was on the phone with the company for 3 days to negotiate at least to finally get some sort of negotiation. They told me they could lower the car price by 500.00 if I was paying cash. The vehicle was listed for 11,870. I thought I would like to get closer to 11,000, but I thought with 500.00 off I was only a few hundred short of 11,000. After they told me they could discount 500.00, they cam back with a price of 13,500 before taxes, which is not only close to 2000.00 above the price they listed for, but it's closer to 3000.00 above the market value. They told me it's because they had to add their package on to the price. I asked them to forget about the package and just sell me the car for the cash price they offered without the package, and they wouldn't. It's way worse than what I've put here, but I'm not going to waste any more of my time on this company right now. I would avoid this company.

My son and I went to Auto Republic this last Friday and I wish I had read the reviews ahead of time, that would have saved us a ton of time.   The salesman, Junior was great and showed us cars that were in our price range and mentioned on a test drive that an auto-theft tracking device was included on every car sold there, and my son and I thought that was great, however when it came time to crunch numbers the $16,000 car became a $21,000 car.  They tack on $2,000 worth of anti theft and car door protection extras that are not negotiable.   When we were ready to walk out he went and got his manager who did nothing to bring the price down.  An Absolute WASTE of TIME!!!  BUYER BEWARE!
We ended up buying from a Toyota Dealer that had no hidden fees, just Tax and License, like any other reputable dealer.
