Description

For sale is a highly collectible and genuinely authentic 19th-century Victorian Wooton Patent Secretary Desk (Wooton Desk Co., Indianapolis, Ind.). This iconic "King of Desks" is a masterpiece of late 1800s American craftsmanship, featuring a solid rich mahogany/walnut finish and its legendary twin-hinged cabinet doors that open to reveal an incredibly intricate organization system. The left swinging door opens to showcase rows of original built-in wooden letter boxes and mail slots, while the right section opens into a comprehensive multi-drawer filing system. The central writing bureau features a drop-front desktop over additional internal storage.
