Fall and spring are both good times for planting, prices vary: Lamb’s ear Daffodils bulbs- solid yellow color Vinca-solid green and variegated, periwinkle liriope- solid green leaf with late season lavender flower Canna- Red, bring in for winter snd will return each year Pink rose of Sharon -18” tall now, but will grow quickly Solomon’s Seal- like a variegated lily of the valley on steroids, grows 12-18” tall, single stem, doubles each year by rhizomes, shade Heavenly Nandina - bush type, get clusters of brilliant red dry type berries in fall that can be cut and used for Christmas decorating, leaves dry without shrivel Tall field phlox- lavenders Golden spirea- bush type, get lavender flat head flower beginning of July Bridal wreath spirea -white blooms in May 4 large ( three twisted stems to form more small tree shape 5’ tall, one bush style 3’ tall) Butterfly bush - lavender Burning bush- leaves turn bright red in fall, very common Beauty berry bush- very hardy, get rows of tiny purple ‘beads’ along the stem in late fall to be used in decor/arrangements Privet bush- can be used solo or as hedging Hosta- solid green large leaf or variegated pointed leaf with lavender flower early summer, prefers partial shade Grasses: Solid green or variegated-turns tan late fall/winter with fluffy tops(Chinese silver grass); Curly willow tree babies - taken Young maple trees young peach trees-taken Redbud trees babies euyonomus ivy golden stringy mossy sedum- ground cover, also good hanging over edge of planters
