Vintage Italy Florentine Crescent Moon Box, Plus Vintage Florentine Card Free!

Bought this box myself in Florence, Italy, in 1989. I have enjoyed it and kept it in pristine condition since then, which means it can still be given as a gift. As you can see from the photos, the maker stamp, “IL PAPIRO,” is still perfectly fixed to the underside of the box. Most Florentine paper boxes are standard rectangles, squares, or small rounds. A crescent moon shape is highly unusual, collectible, and qualifies this box as "celestial" or "whimsigoth" vintage decor. The Florentine pattern of this box is a traditional Italian marbled design accented with gilt stamping. The fact that it’s covered inside and out indicates a higher level of craftsmanship than boxes left blank on the interior. Dimensions: • Length: 7" • Width: 2.75" • Height: 1.75" Also, while I was in Florence, I also bought a set of little note cards handmade by Florentine artisans with prints of Fra Angelico angels on them. I have one left, in mint condition, and I’m including it with the box free (see photos)!
