Vintage Sansui 7000 Stereo Receiver w/ Upgrades *Serviced*

Can’t say enough about how good this receiver sounds. On the rare side only sold in PX’s on military bases. A lot of work was done on this and will be all listed below. I’m not in rush to sell as I’m enjoying it at the moment. Total of 89 parts were replaced. Power supply board: Full recap, all new transistors and Diodes replaced Tone control board: Full recap and all new transistors Driver boards: Full recap and all small transistors replaced. FM multiplex board all noisy 2sc711 transistors replaced. A muting protection relay circuit board was added to give extra safety after the output caps. These normally have no relay. The back lighting circuit was modified to keep all the lamps on while on other Inputs. The factory circuit only keeps the input light on when selected. All dial scale and meter lamps were replaced with warm white LED. The input lamps were left original looks best this way. Idle current was adjusted to factory specs. All pots, switches, controls and inputs cleaned with Deoxit. Faceplate was painted a stealth matte black originally the grey one had scratches. All new push button labels to exact look of original. Wood cab had some chips and knicks the were all filled in sanded and stained with Gunstock and finished with feed in wax. Faceplate and knobs were hand polished. The big filters caps all are with in spec they have been tested.
