"Lion Chest" w/4 original lion-shaped pulls on drawers & doors. (25" high, 37" long, 17" deep

Antique oak chest with 2 drawers (3"+/- deep) located over 2 front opening cabinet doors giving complete, unimpeded access to the generous interior. Each drawer & door features a lion-shaped ring-pull, hence it's lion name. (See the picture.) The original key is also included if you wish to lock the doors. (See enlarged lion head photo.) It will certainly be a treasured and useful addition to your home as a lovely piece of furniture and welcomed additional storage. There are 2 of these chests, identical, both on wheels for easy placement. They were used at various times as coffee tables, sofa consoles, window seats, TV stands, and other furniture pieces, both as stand alones & in a pair, side-by-side, and back- to- back as 1 continuous surface. Each is protected by a removable, thick glass top (originally costing $150 each to create). These incredibly well-fashioned, sturdy pieces are approximately 90-100 years old. They were in our grandparent's home since the 1920's. (Not only attractive and handy, these are great cabinets for children playing hide & seek or for hiding Easter eggs and packages, as well.) (Full disclosure, one has a faint mark from water when it was used as a plant stand. But it never really showed up, especially when items on the top of the cabinet were displayed.
