Description
Hoya sp. “Chicken Farm” was first discovered in 1997 by Eva-Karin Wiberg (code EKW97-005) in Sabah, Sarawak, on the island of Kalimantan (Borneo) - right next to a chicken coop, which inspired the whimsical name 🌿🐔 . Later, director of plant science Torill Nyhuus confirmed that this is indeed a wild species, and not a hybrid, belonging to the Hoya finlaysonii group Its leaves are large, dark green with silver splashes; flowers are fragrant, with a yellow crown and reddish tips, collected in dense umbrellas. Structurally it resembles Hoya finlaysonii, but remains a distinct species. Pick up and cash Vancouver East or Portland. Airport Way
