FROM ESTATE: Vintage Eddie Bauer 1959 Nestle Down Folding Camp Bed Cot w/Original Box & Custom Wood Case. This collectible mid-century cot comes from the estate of my dad who was an avid outdoorsman, back in the day. He would pack up his old F100 Ford Pickup and go camping and fishing with one of his buddies for the weekend. He was quite a good carpenter and he hand made a very nice wood storage box for this cot that perfectly fits the cot and it's original shipping box. He purchased the cot directly from Eddie Bauer and it was shipped directly to him right here in Arizona. The bed is 73.5" long, 30.5" wide, and 8" high. The cot easily folds down to a compact size of 32"x9". It has a lightweight aluminum frame so it only weighs 8 lbs., which makes it perfect for backpacking. The custom wood box measures: 44" x 12" x 10". This cot is in good vintage condition. It shows normal wear, but was well taken care of. There are a few marks on the cot side and the cover for the green padded insulation, that is underneath the cot, has some staining. The padding, by the way, is not down, as the name suggests, but is actually fiberfill. There is some fraying of the cot material around some of the cutouts which allow for the legs to be attached. However, the cot is still strong and quite useable as it is. I can support the weight of a grown adult that weighs 200 lbs. (I know this since this is what I weigh.) Offered at $120 O.B.O.
