Brand new! The image shows a print of a hand-colored engraving titled "The Little White Heron" by English naturalist and artist Mark Catesby. The work is from his publication The Natural History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands, which was published in installments between 1729 and 1747. Mark Catesby is considered a pioneer of American ornithology and botany. The engraving depicts a heron standing among what appears to be a type of hibiscus plant. The Field Museum Library, Mary W.
