PORCUPINE Alebrije Hand Painted Wood Carving Folk Art from Oaxaca Mexico. Alebrijes are Mexico's fantastic, imaginative figures - they are often called "creatures of the dreams and the imagination". They are hand-carved and hand-painted on copal wood from Central Mexico . There are dozens of painted wooden quills. This porcupine measures approximately 4 1/2 long and 4 1/2" wide. This very cute porcupine would be a wonderful gift or a great addition to any collection.
