Description
Up for sale is a beautiful, genuine turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau art pottery vase. This charming cabinet piece features a hand-finished, textured pastoral scene depicting two white swans gliding on a serene pond surrounded by lush trees. The vase exhibits classic Art Nouveau styling with elegant dual handles, a flared rim, a rich forest green body, and a stylized brown pedestal base. Era: Late 19th / Early 20th Century (circa 1890–1910) Origin/Style: Austrian / Bohemian or German Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) Markings: The unglazed, chalky bottom features incised factory mold and size numbers: 112, 16, and 19. Mold Number 112: In Turn-Teplitz and Bohemian pottery systems, the main three-digit stamp (112) designates the specific silhouette and handle style of the blank pottery. Production Context: These exact numbers confirm that the vase belonged to a highly structured European production line, where decorators used specific numeric guides to replicate the scenic swan art across various shapes. Approximately 6.5 inches tall Beautiful matte/satin finish with a slight tactile, molded texture over the scenic artwork (not a flat transfer print). Excellent antique condition! There are absolutely no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. The colors remain vibrant. (Please review photos carefully as they form part of the description).A wonderful addition to any antique majolica, amphora, or Art Nouveau collection.
