Leased a vehicle through a broker and picked it up at South Bay Hyundai. The whole process was seamless. Andrew and Steven were total pros and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I would definitely consider leasing another vehicle through this dealership based on my first experience.

I had a generally positive experience with the vehicle purchase itself, but the financing process was disappointing and lacked transparency. Despite having Tier 1 credit, I was offered a 7.99% APR through Hyundai Motor Finance under the Hyundai Circle Program. I was told this rate was “required,” which I later learned wasn’t entirely accurate.

While I understand Circle pricing can’t be combined with promotional financing, the high interest rate appears to include dealer markup, which was never disclosed. I secured a lower interest rate through my credit union, which shows just how inflated the dealership’s offer was.

This kind of tactic — not outright lying, but framing things to benefit the dealership financially — undermines customer trust. It’s unfortunate, because everything else about the sales process was handled professionally. I hope the dealership will be more transparent in the future about how financing rates are determined, especially for customers using factory discount programs.

Thank you for responding. I want to clarify that the issue wasn’t a lack of explanation — it was that no alternative options were presented at all.

The 7.99% APR was presented as a fixed, non-negotiable rate “required” by Hyundai under the Circle Program, which I later found to be misleading. I was not told the rate included potential dealer markup, nor was I offered a comparison or given transparency around Hyundai Motor Finance’s base rate for Tier 1 credit.

True transparency would have meant explaining that the rate could be adjusted or that markup was included — not framing it as part of the manufacturer’s terms.

I appreciate the dealership’s stated commitment to improve, and I hope future customers are given the full picture when it comes to financing, especially under special programs like Circle.

This is a regular oil change, tire rotation/balance service for my 2018 Tucson. It was bought here new. Will helped me with the check in of the vehicle during the service last Saturday afternoon. Check in went well.

After waiting for 90 minutes (earlier than the time I was quoted) inside, I got the call that my vehicle was ready to go. I met Will outside and I asked why the tire rotations were not done since the last service was done 14 months ago (I labelled the tires). After checking the system, I was told that my vehicle doesn't need a rotation yet.  However, the service order has tire rotation done and I believe it would be updated in CarFax as well. Remember, CarFax has been reminding me to do an oil change and tire rotation for about two months (yes, I was late for the service) and CarFax knows when the tires where last rotated and replaced.

This is not the first time something like this happened here. So I had to check the fluids and the engine oil to make sure if they changed them or just pretend to do so. Everything from their buildings, ambiance, equipments have changed over the last 7 years, but their unethical/unprofessional practice hasn't.

I’ve been a loyal Hyundai driver since 2003 and have never looked back. Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of upgrading my vehicle at South Bay Hyundai, and the experience was nothing short of incredible!

From the moment I walked in, Antonio Lopez made me feel like I was reconnecting with a good friend. He welcomed us with warmth, truly listened to what we needed, and worked with such sincerity and care that I felt seen and understood every step of the way. He made the entire process smooth and stress-free and when I arrived to pick up my car, there was a bow on it! That thoughtful touch made me feel so special. Antonio, you’re a gem!

A big shout-out also goes to Mac Luis, who was equally amazing. Hyundai is incredibly lucky to have someone like him on their team. Mac made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision, and his positive energy and attention to detail helped make the transition to my new car seamless.

Let’s not forget Alex Ruiz, the sales manager approachable, down-to-earth, and clearly respected by his team. His leadership shows through the entire dealership’s atmosphere of kindness, professionalism, and integrity.

And last but absolutely not least: Rosie at the front desk! She greeted us with such a lovely spirit and vibrant energy — a perfect reflection of the care and joy that South Bay Hyundai brings to every interaction.

From start to finish, this was a standout experience that far exceeded my expectations. I left not only with a beautiful new Hyundai but also with a full heart. I can’t recommend South Bay Hyundai enough to my friends, family, and anyone looking for a dealership that genuinely cares.
