This was acquired by the family in 1957 for my cousin. My parents got it from their sister in 1963. It's an antique chair made by Nichols & Stone Company Massachusetts #20 Antique, 69-6 official markings on bottom of chair. Nichols & Stone Co., a company known for manufacturing furniture, particularly chairs, in Gardner, Massachusetts. This antique item is likely a Nichols & Stone chair, potentially a rocking chair, given descriptions of similar items.
