Description
The Rattlesnake, initially released in January 1905, was crafted by Remington. The plaster model was cast in bronze by the Roman Bronze Works. However, Remington later expressed dissatisfaction with the initial version and made revisions in 1908, including tucking in the horse’s legs. The sculpture depicts a cowboy on a rearing horse, frightened by a coiled rattlesnake on the ground.
