Help Build A Playground

Help Masjid Aqaba Build a Safe Place for Our Children I’m helping raise funds for Masjid Aqaba, a local mosque serving families on the west side of Fresno, including the 93702 community. Masjid Aqaba is more than a place of worship. It is a community resource where people from all walks of life are welcomed, supported, and treated with dignity. Every week, the mosque hosts a food drive that is open to everyone, regardless of faith or background, helping provide groceries and meals to families who are struggling. The community also operates a clothing donation bin that provides clothing to anyone in need. For many families in this area, these services aren't simply conveniences—they are a helping hand when times are difficult. But there is one important need that remains: our children need a safe place to play. A Playground for the Community The children who come to Masjid Aqaba deserve a space where they can run, play, make friends, and simply be kids. Right now, there is no safe, dedicated playground for them. We want to change that by building a playground on the mosque's property—a place where children can play safely while their families participate in services, community events, food distributions, and other programs. This playground would be more than equipment and swings. It would be an investment in the children and families who make up this community. A Community That Gives What It Can Masjid Aqaba operates largely through the generosity of its donors. Monthly contributions help keep the doors open, the lights on, and the mosque's essential services running. Because the mosque's regular donations are already dedicated to maintaining the day-to-day needs of the community, larger improvements and renovations have to be funded separately. That is why we are asking for your help. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to giving these children a safe place to play. If you are able to contribute, thank you. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, or community can make an enormous difference. You do not have to be Muslim to support this project. You do not have to live in Fresno. This is an opportunity for anyone who believes that children deserve safe spaces, families deserve support, and communities are stronger when we take care of one another. Masjid Aqaba has spent years giving back to the community. Now we're asking the community to help us give something back to its children. Let's build a safe place to play, grow, and make memories. Thank you for believing in this community and for helping us make this playground a reality. Donate. Share. Help Us Build. Every dollar helps. Every share helps. Every act of kindness brings us closer. Together, we can build more than a playground—we can build a place where the next generation feels safe, welcome, and cared for.
