Description
Mid to late 1960s Fender Wildwood III. First off, this guitar really sounds fantastic. It has great sustained, loud projection, and a balanced sound. Fender acoustics are usually not the greatest sounding models, but this one is an exception. The model is called Wildwood. The back sides are constructed from beac wood that has been died with a shade of green. It’s a quirky feature that fender had both on the acoustic lineup and on the Coronados. Other than this, the model is similar to the Kingman or King acoustic. It’s a dreadnought size guitar with a bolt on neck. It feels exactly like an electric guitar neck from the era. With the blocks and binding, it would be most similar to a or a master. Overall, the guitar is in excellent vintage condition. The bridge is not lifting at all. The main cosmetic imperfection is some heavier lines of finish checking towards the bottom of the body. They do not appear to go all the way to the are just in the lacquer, leaving a “check” line on the top. Comes in the original case.
