DXIII Model 1960 Digital Tach-Dwell Tester, an automotive diagnostic tool. Very good condition. Did not test it. Function: This device measures engine RPM (revolutions per minute) and dwell angle in internal combustion engines. RPM (Tachometer): It acts as a tachometer to measure the rotational speed of the engine, typically displayed in RPM. Dwell Angle: It measures the dwell angle, which is the duration (in degrees of crankshaft rotation) that the ignition points remain closed in older, points-style ignition systems, crucial for proper engine timing. Cylinder Selection: The tester has a switch to select the number of cylinders (4, 6, or 8) for accurate readings based on the engine type. Application: It's primarily used for tuning and troubleshooting ignition systems in vehicles, particularly those with conventional (points-type) ignition systems.
