1957 Gibson J-45 Sunburst

Very good condition 1957 Gibson J-45 in sunburst. All original, no breaks. This is an exceptionally clean and wonderful sounding example of a mid 70’s J-45. On the boomier side, but a very thick and pleasing low-mid quality that we all love out of an old Gibson. This example was kept with a Navy veteran stationed in New Mexico, hence the repaired and cleated cracks on the top and near the fretboard as pictured. Structurally all of the cracks are stable and not moving. This example maintains almost all of its originality, as no work has been done to the bridge plate, finish work, etc. Upgraded tuners and bridge pins. I’m honestly so surprised at how well kept this example is, and will be a wonderful player in its new home. Tuners work well. Action is playable but could benefit from a setup. Frets have plenty of life. Original sticker where the original owner purchased the guitar still attached to the back of the headstock (removable). Binding is still in good shape. No holes or gauges on the back, top, or sides. Some nice finish checking happening throughout the guitar. Comes with non original hard shell case as pictured.
