Description

A pair of traditionally-crafted Chinese wedding shoes, sewn by a local shoemaker in Shanghai. This pair is completely new and unworn since it unfortunately did not fit. The crimson satin uppers are densely hand-embroidered with twin goldfish (symbolizing abundance), lotus leaves (new beginnings and harmony), and swirling phoenix-cloud motifs. Small gold-toned blossoms and freshwater-pearl accents are stitched on by hand and can be removed or tightened with the included repair kit. The shoes have a low, comfortable 1.6” (4 cm) stacked heel, enough lift to elongate the leg without sacrificing stability. A lightly cushioned, fully embroidered insole keeps things soft for a full tea ceremony or reception change-over. The insole is removable for easy cleaning and is embroidered on both sides. US women’s size 6. Fits inner (foot) length of 9.1”-9.25” (231-235mm) and width of 3.5” (90mm). Boxed with spare flower, bead, and glue included. Meet-up at or near McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth.
