Description

I am selling a titled Tomos Targa B from 1995 with 1.5 B.H.P. The engine is reed valve which if you know two stokes is highly desirable and stock bikes all came with oil-injection. This bike is nearly brand new. It has a running set of blinkers (a rarity on mopeds), a headlight and tail/break lights that all work great. It is a two speed automatic and will get you up a hill, no manual shifting is needed. Also, it's 50cc so you don't need to have an endorsement, a regular driving license is all you need. Great for someone that wants to get a motorcycle down the road, always great to start out on a smaller bike. For less then three dollars you can go quite a ways. It has a rebuild oil pump that works great, but you can always by-pass it if you are so inclined and premix instead. The bike comes with two keys, one for the steering column to deter movement, and another key to prevent a would-be thief from fueling up the bike. Titles are also hard to come by for 50cc bikes, but this one sports a one owner title to boot! It looks slick in white, with white mag wheels, and has a sweet set of Sava tires, they are great around corners as they are oval instead of the thin slicks that normally come on a moped like a Puch. Also like other pedal assist scooters (mop-peds more accurately as it has a motor and pedals) the tank is built in to the frame, a design that heavily barrows from it's predecessor the Puch Maxi. Having owned a few bikes, I also see a lot of similarity between the Garelli and the Tomos (sometimes spelled Tomas) The pedals are integrated directly in the to engine case, and the back fork must be a near direct port. This bike is Slovenian, but it has a great reputation, unlike the dreaded Jawa which was Czechoslovakian. The bike has low miles, around 200. Don't buy sketchy mopeds, that have been sold and resold with no title and proof of ownership. Buy this bike instead and have the peace of mind and no hassle at the DMV.
