Trek 5200 OCLV - Ultegra - USPS Team Road Bike - 60cm

2001 Trek 5200 OCLV U.S. Postal Service Team Road Bike Asking $499, but willing to talk reasonable offers. Brand new this bike was $2700. Full OCLV Carbon fork and frame (60cm). Mostly Ultegra group set, have upgraded various parts to Dura Ace over the years. Has one Sora shifter. Cosmic Elite wheels with relatively new Serfas road tires. Cane Creek head set. Designed and built for road races like the Tour de France (multiple wins). Very light. Very fast (if you have the legs for it). Great handling. Very comfortable on long rides. (Most of the Tour de France’s 22 stages are 100+ miles per day.) The 5200 series carbon road bikes were by far the best selling carbon road bikes in the history of cycling. (They evolved into the Madone series.) Excellent all around bikes that are indestructible if not abused. Needs cleaned and a full tune-up. Has been sitting in my garage for a while. Unfortunately just haven’t had the time to ride consistently since having kids. Great bike. Hate to see it go. Definitely going to miss it.
