Halloween 24/7/365: Pair of Very Rare Vintage 80s Paolo Chiari Frankenstein & Igor Resin Figurines: Before I post certain things, I do tend to do some kind of research beforehand to inform myself about the item I have. I don’t just post pictures, pull a price out of my butt, and wait for the offers to pour in. I want to know about the items I have so I can better inform you, the buyer. This pair of resin sculptures of Frankenstein’s Monster and Frankenstein’s Lab Assistant, Igor were made in the late 1980s by Italian sculptor, Paolo Chiari. They were part of a collection called the Horribles. Depending on figurine, the prices on these range from $45 - $75. Frankenstein’s Monster is one of the biggest of the collection and never sells less than $70. Again, this is all from doing online research with similar items that have actually sold. The Monster is 11” H x 11” Across and Igor is 6” H x 5” Across. They are simultaneously creepy and whimsical. I like how they were done in black, white, and gray giving a nod to the classic 1931 film. I know there are people who like one Holiday at a time and once it’s over for the year, that’s it. But Halloween is different. Halloween is just a way of life with some. This pair is basically art and even though they are resin, it does not negate the beauty and the artistry that the molds were created from. As mentioned, Frankenstein’s Monster SELLS FOR at least $70. I am offering the pair for $95. Again, they are no longer being offered, they are rare, and you probably won’t find two of them together being offered for less anytime soon.
