This charming matched pair of Hitchcock-style chairs have solid hardwood frames,mortise-and-tenon joinery with hand turned legs and stretchers. Seats are original woven rush that is intact. The original stencil floral and Guild decoration remains visible. The chairs are in good condition with stable frames and seats. There is some surface wear and small losses of paint consistent to 150+ years of use, but that only adds to the patina! From the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Size of each is 31.75 h 17.5 w 16 d 17.5 sh 16 sd. Pickup must be scheduled in advance so we can make sure someone is available to release the item. Delivery is available upon request.
