Grandpa’s Little Ballerina painting of this figure was done for the Saturday Evening Post magazine during the Depression. She is imagining that she is dressed in a pretty tutu and ballet slippers as she holds her skirt and dances for her grandpa. The artist was Mary Moline and the doll was made in Germany. Made of hand-crafted porcelain, with jointed arms and legs, the doll stands 10”. The total series consists of 20 different dolls.
