1988 ClipperCraft 26’

Testing the waters here. After bringing this boat back to life I’ve enjoyed this boat as a great hobby and I have more projects that I’d like to do on it (just some cosmetic work) but my wife and are moving into a new stage in life and the house and kids are gonna get expensive. I bought this boat as a project in January 2024. There was some Rot in the wood on the exterior trim and upper lapstrake but no rot in the hull or stringers. Decided the boat had good bones and was worth restoring. All rotted wood was torn off and completely replaced with new marine grade plywood. Then 3 new coats of epoxy barrier coat and 3 layers of topside. The new trim wood around the topside is sapele which was epoxy bonded to the boat and is 3/4” by 1 1/2” to add strength and prevent any future water intrusion. The engine cowling was also rebuilt out of 3/4” plywood and wrapped in FRP which cleans up nice after a day of fishing. Last year I bit the bullet and dropped in a brand new Volvo Penta 4.3 GI motor professionally installed by salty boys boat works in Port Orchard. Motor currently has around 40-50 hours on it. Additionally the outdrive received a tune up with new bellows and gimbal bearing. There’s a lot more I could list but it would be better for someone to come have a look. This boat is super cool and has a lot of character and a lot of life left with the right owner. Included in the sale are two cannon electric downriggers, electric pot puller, igloo cooler, and Honda 8hp four stroke kicker. I can provide more pictures upon request.
