Over the years, I have owned and worked with many different tube testers, including: Amplitrex AT100 TV-7 D/U B&K 747 And several other brands and models In the end, I decided to keep the B&K 747, as it offers the best balance of performance, versatility, and ease of use for most enthusiasts. When fully rebuilt to a high standard and precisely calibrated, it can deliver test results that are comparable to the Amplitrex AT1000 and TV-7 D/U. This is why it has long been highly regarded by both technicians and audio enthusiasts for its reliability and multi-function capability. This unit is the fifth B&K 747B I have personally rebuilt. I have over 30 years of professional electronics repair experience, and every step follows strict professional standards: All electrolytic capacitors replaced(tolerance ≤ 5%) All carbon film resistors replaced(tolerance ≤ 1%) Thorough cleaning for excellent contact reliability Professional calibration for stable and accurate readings Replacement of all necessary components for long-term reliability And all the remaining parts that were not replaced have each been tested to ensure they work properly. All wiring connections have been checked to ensure they are in good condition.
