1998 Toyota Tacoma

I've owned this truck for over 12 years now. If you know toyotas they are know for spontaneous ball joint/ control arm bracket failure which is the reason I had the front suspension custom fabricated. I do not jump or have ever taken this truck off roading. The most its ever seen is a dirt fire road to go hiking or camping. I just love toyotas, especially tacomas. After the last balljoint/Control arm failure I took the truck to Solo motorsports (off road racing and custom fabrication shop) and had them completely redo the front end with King shocks, uniballs, new custom spindles, upper A-Arms, and a brand new rack and pinion steering, alignment, and new tires. Spent alittle over $10,000. In 2019 I was rear ended by a jeep. It wasn't bad for me except insurance company totaled out my truck. The bed was hit in the rear passenger side and barley pushed the bed into lower cab just below the window inward about 1" inch. The truck drove fine and I drove the truck home. The insurance company will not recognize the upgraded value of the suspension and said its value is less than to repair. I have replaced the bed with a original toyota bed and did some body work on the cab. I used a slide hammer and welded studs than body filler the last little bit. I took the truck to a frame shop and used there jig to check for frame straightness and it passed. Nothing bent. Lastly I went back to the alignment shop and had them check which was also good. I have many pictures from before the accident, during the accident incase you would like to see the damage. The motor is a 2.4 4 cylinder with a 5 speed manual transmission. Runs great, it is my daily driver. I will drive this to mammoth lakes area or Oregon without hesitation. The truck is originally Black. I took a few college auto body and paint classes and i re-painted the truck ,in college, with a few coats of black and clear about 8 years ago. Also, I switched out the bench seat with bucket seats and started to redo the interior.
