Rare Vintage Craftsman Crown Logo 7 Drawer Machinist Excellent Condition Toolbox With Original Key Offered here is a vintage Craftsman machinist toolbox featuring the desirable crown logo, gray hammered finish, locking front door, large upper storage compartment, and seven lower drawers. This quality steel toolbox was designed for storing machinist tools, precision instruments, small parts, and other workshop essentials. The toolbox is in excellent condition for its age and has been very well preserved. The lock functions properly and includes two matching original Excelsior Hardware Co. keys (KY62). All drawers open and close smoothly, and the overall structure is solid, clean, and ready for use or display. A standout feature of this toolbox is the original black fabric padding that remains throughout the interior. The large upper compartment and all seven drawers retain their original fabric lining, helping protect tools and precision instruments from scratches and wear. There is some light dust present on the lining from storage, but overall the interior remains in remarkably nice condition. The exterior shows normal signs of age, storage, and use including minor scuffs, scratches, and cosmetic wear that would be expected from a vintage toolbox. Overall, it presents exceptionally well and remains an excellent example of a classic Craftsman machinist chest. I was unable to locate a country-of-origin marking on the toolbox itself. However, the included original keys are marked "The Excelsior Hardware Co., Stamford, Conn., USA," further supporting the vintage American heritage of this piece.
