Description A beautiful and rare set of 5 antique wooden spindle-back chairs (4 side chairs, 1 armchair/Captain's chair). These chairs are a lovely example of the classic Windsor style with their gracefully turned legs, bowed backs, and signature carved central splat (sometimes called a fan or wheel back). Features: • Set of 5: Includes one armchair (Captain's chair) and four side chairs. • Style: Windsor/Spindle Back with a beautiful carved splat detailing. • Seats: Traditional woven rush seats, offering a rustic, comfortable look. The rush seats are in solid, usable condition with a lovely natural patina. But some of the rush does need to be replaced. • Wood/Finish: Dark, rich wood tone, stained hardwood, with a beautiful aged patina. • Age: Believed to be late 19th Century (c. 1880s - 1900s). These chairs would be perfect for a dining table, as accent pieces, or in a charming farmhouse or country-style kitchen. They are sturdy and structurally sound, ready for their next home.
