Original vintage built-in wall iron holder / ironing cabinet by Wm. L. Allen Co., Los Angeles. Embossed inside: “The Allen Electric Iron Cabinet” Manufactured by Wm. L. Allen Co., Los Angeles – Pat. Pend. Heavy galvanized metal construction with decorative geometric front panel. The drop-down door opens to a storage compartment designed to hold a hot electric iron safely inside the wall. Great industrial look! Perfect for: • Vintage home restoration • 1920s–1940s bungalow remodel • Laundry room accent • Prop styling or industrial decor • Architectural salvage collectors Condition: Solid vintage condition with normal age wear, surface patina, and light rust on hardware (see photos). Hinges work well and door opens/closes properly. Approximate use: installs recessed into the wall between studs. Rare Los Angeles architectural salvage piece — you don’t see these often anymore.
