1981 LAND RANGE ROVER LHD 2 DOOR DEFENDER BRONCO SCOUT FJ40 911

What's a 1000 times more rare than a vintage/classic Bronco, Scout, FJ40/Landcruiser, Ramcharger, K5/Blazer/Jimmy, Series/Defender and Jeep??? What's the Porsche 911 of vintage 4X4's??? ...reluctantly offering up my 1981 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER L.H.D. 2 DOOR. I acquired this Rover in 2007 and have been storing this project since. Was really hoping to find the right client that got my vision for this build, had the budget to see this project through and wanted something no one else had but classic Rover guys are boring and cheap so it’s time to move on... Original Southern California car (not a recent import), previous ownership was in Big Bear and Lake Malibu. A absolutely rust free car. Original left hand drive vehicle, not converted from right hand drive. 99,082 original miles. Upgrade drivetrain with a 4.2 liter fuel injected V8 mated to a 5 speed R380 manual with a LT230 C.D.L. transfer case (best engine, best manual transmission and best transfer case from the first generation Range Rover era). The transfer case has been cleaned, gone through, all new seals and gaskets installed and has been upgraded with a cross drilled input gear for better oiling. Also has a new 1995 (shorter) hand brake cable. All matching Discovery 1 R380 manual transmission shift knob, LT230 C.D.L. transfer case shift knob and hand brake shift lever. Power steering and power brakes with 4 wheel disc brakes and without A.B.S. (so power brakes without the expensive and endless A.B.S. pump problems that plagued later models). Upgraded drilled and slotted brake discs installed. Sitting on Old Man Emu medium duty coil springs. Old Man Emu steering damper new in a box. Shear proof, black poly urethane engine, transmission and transfer case to chassis mounts new in a box. Black poly urethane body to chassis mounts new in a box. Pair of Genuine Land Rover military J.A.T.E. recovery rings installed front and rear. Custom low profile, platform roof rack. Custom matching set of front and rear bumpers. Custom cowl grille. Matching set of 5 Land Rover Defender non tube steel wheels. Includes a impossible to find non sunroof model, perfect roof pan (the white one). Aluminum bomber style seats mounted on Land Rover Discovery 1 manual seat frames/sliders. Original Range Rover key for the ignition with 2 uncut N.O.S. Genuine Land Rover Range Rover keys. Will include a complete set of correct ARP head studs new in a box I had on the shelf here. Clean California title in my name and current registration both in hand. Original California plates. C.A.R.B. certified emissions decal (this vehicle went through the time consuming and expensive process of being documented and approved by the insane state of California to meet its strict emission requirements after being upgraded from the original 3.5 liter carbureted engine). I am truly astounded at the amount of inquires by guys that do not understand what a project is or that can not comprehend that it may be missing parts that you may want to complete your vision (it is complete for what I wanted/has everything I needed to build per my wishes but should you want to go back to stock you will need to source lots of parts). -Derek Chase
