Description
This car is one of my joys in life and has got me loving Porsche so much as to become a technician for them, I wanted to keep it to one day give it to my son. I hate to do this but this is more of a financial decision than anything else. It would help me pay for my son’s daycare and help me be a lot more financially stable while I’m away at Porsches training center. This is my 1987 Porsche 944 S, i am the 2nd owner. I have records and receipts dating back from 88-89 from when the car was purchased from the original owner. I have built and fixed the vehicle to be able to be a daily driver, it has an upgraded custom sound system, r134a retrofitted AC that is fully functional, 3 component short shifter kit from Only 944 and 2 pairs of keys with keys for the wheel locks. Just in my time of ownership I have done many maintenance items and tried to make it better than it already was. I have replaced/done: flushed out the cooling system, replaced knock sensors, radiator hoses, all the vacuum hoses, leaking throttle body, valve cover gasket with new hardware, coolant temp sensors, coolant fan temperature switch, DME replay, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, heater control valve, front engine seals, upper balance shaft seal, cooling fan resistors, differential seals, sway bar braces, rebuilt injectors, replaced AOS seals, rebuilt the rear calipers done replaced rear rotors and pads, replaced timing/ balance shaft belts and water pump, and that’s just to list a few of the things. In just the past 5k miles I have replaced/ done the water pump, timing and balance shaft belts, blower motor fan resistor, oil (20W-50 Valvoline VR1), upper balance shaft reseal front engine seals, coolant flush, trans axle drain and fill, cleaned and regreased the CV axles, installed a momo prototipo steering wheel, replaced inner/outer tie rods, added sway bar braces, rebuilt both lower control arms and packed them with fresh grease, replaced the battery and much more that I can’t think of at the moment. Now for the bad on this car: interior clock display has started to “leak” and now has a spot on it but is still functional, the drives side door has a nickel size intrusion on it, the hood has a very minor upward budge that can only be seen once very close and if you’re looking for it, and on the roof of the car the paint has been burnt through from someone trying to polish it under PO’s ownership, drivers side fog light got hit by debris on the road so it broke the lens, l Power steering reservoir has a minor leak. These major services that have done by PO is a new cylinder head with new camshafts and camshaft timing pad, oil cooler seal, rewelded headers, new head gasket, odometer gear replaced. This car is currently my daily driver so miles will go up but is at 115k miles as of today, I have a bunch of information about this car and have extra parts and accessories that came with the car originally, if you have any questions please get into contact with me and I’ll be glad to help.
