ANTIQUE ANGLO-INDIAN COLONIAL ARMOIRE/CABINET

Unique, exceptionally heavy solid-wood armoire with a distinctive Indian/Anglo-Indian Colonial aesthetic. Beautifully distressed dark finish, substantial crown molding, solid metal bars, heavy hinges, and distinct hand-forged metal ring pulls and hardware. Definitely an antique from India. The construction, hand- finished appearance, substantial woodwork, metal hardware, and aged patina give this piece the character and presence of an older Indian colonial cabinet. It has the look of a traditional Indian almirah and would make a striking statement piece in an eclectic, traditional, rustic, or globally inspired interior. Inside are two permanently built-in solid-wood shelves, creating three levels of storage. The shelves are integrated into the cabinet's construction rather than removable. The configuration makes it versatile for books, display, linens, clothing, general storage, or a TV/media setup. Very good vintage condition with natural wear and patina.
